Functions

This office is responsible for the implementation of the approved ordinances with regards to franchising and issuance of permits and licenses to all business establishments. Its main objective is to intensify the income generated from local taxes in accordance with the City Ordinance and Local Government Code of 1991, which will highly contributes in the funding of infrastructure projects and development programs of the City of Balanga. It has the authority to issue franchise and sticker to tricycle drivers and operators as approved by the Sangguniang Panlungsod.

It is also authorized to impose the corresponding penalties to violators of City Ordinances.

BUSINESS PERMIT AND LICENSING SECTION
This section is in charge in the issuance of Business/Mayor’s Permit to all business establishments. It is responsible in the assessment of business taxes, fees and other charges.

FRANCHISING SECTION
This section is in charge in the issuance of franchise and sticker to tricycle drivers and operators. It is also responsible in the issuance and safekeeping of the confiscated driver’s license apprehended by the traffic enforcers and PNP subject for penalties.
