Mission

To facilitate the preparation, administration of the Local Government Budget that will help both the Executive Body and Legislative Body to properly manage all the City’s financial resources.

Functions

• This is one of the staff offices of the City mayor, responsible in the preparation of the city budget in accordance with the prescribe guidelines issued by the DBM in order to conform to the mandate of R.A. 7160.
• Coordinated with the Local Finance Committee regarding the effective implementation of the duly authorized budget.
• Tasked with the responsibility of rendering technical assistance to the City Mayor, to the different offices of the city and to the 25 barangays on matters related to budgeting.
• Responsible to submitting to the Sangguniang Panlungsod for administrative review and approval of the city and barangay budget.
