Mission

We endeavor to implement city infrastructure as well as the provisions of the National Building Code with NGITING BALANGUEÑO and without fear, favor or reservations, to the optimum satisfaction of the clients in particular and the city constituents in general.

Functions

Provide engineering services to the City and advise the City Mayor on Infrastructure, Public Works and other engineering matters pursuant to Section 33 of Republic Act No. 8984 known as the, “Charter of the City of Balanga”

Perform the function of the City Building Official responsible for the enforcement of the provisions of the National Building Code of the Philippines (PD 1096) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

SPECIAL PROJECT SECTION (PMO)

This section shall handle the special projects undertaken by the city government. Work includes monitoring, site inspection, survey works, preparation of program of works, and assessment of completed project.

PLANNING & PROGRAMMING SECTION

In charge of planning, programming, monitoring and inspection of projects of the city government.

NATIONAL BLDG. CODE SECTION

This section shall oversee the implementation of the National Building Code, otherwise known as P.D. 1096. This involves processing and issuance of building, sanitary and plumbing, electrical and occupancy permits as well as the monitoring and inspection of the works covered by such permits.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT SECTION

This section shall take charge of planning, programming, monitoring and ocular inspection of project sites, initiates field activities and construction, does consolidation of periodic progress reports and evaluation of future programs of works. It shall also handle the materials and quality control of all infrastructure projects undertaken either by contract or by administration.
