The Plaza Mayor de Balanga was filled with excitement as the highly anticipated first-ever Binibining Balanga 2024 unfolded on April 24, 2024, as part of the Pistang Balangueño celebration.
Fourteen dazzling candidates from various barangays in Balanga City graced the stage, exuding beauty, elegance, and poise, while their families and friends enthusiastically cheered them on.
During the event, local officials including Councilor Jowee N. Zabala, Chairperson of the Tourism Committee, Councilor Pedro T. Yuzon who represented Councilor Maria Nazareth Vasquez, and Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President Kheilene Camus shared messages of support, further adding to the excitement of the occasion.
In representing Mayor Francis Anthony S. Garcia, Acting Mayor Vianca Lita V. Gozon graced the occasion, expressing her anticipation that these Binibinis would champion the city’s projects, especially those focused on environmental protection.
An intermission performance by the winners of Munting Balangueña 2023 and Legit Company further heightened the energy of the event.
Winners were presented with prizes generously contributed by various sponsors, underscoring the strong and supportive relationship between the city and its valued partners and stakeholders.
The grand success of the event was made possible by the tireless efforts of the City Tourism Office, spearheaded by Mr. Norlie Castro, as well as the collaboration of various city departments, partner organizations, and sponsors.
