April 19, 2023 – Barangay Cupang Proper held Barangay Health Day at Cupang Integrated School, City of Balanga, Bataan as part of the Learning Barangay Week. The event was facilitated by the City Health Office headed by Dr. Mariano Antonio Banzon.

Brgy. Cupang Proper residents enjoy free medical, dental, and general health services and consultations. Lectures and discussions about DOH Programs (Rabies awareness, dengue prevention, Maternal & Child Care, ST-HIV Program, Diet & Nutrition, and Family Planning) were provided. Further, they received maternal and child-care starter kits which contain adult and baby diapers, alcohol, babies’ cloth and blankets. These lectures call the residents’ attention to visit their rural health centers regularly to ensure and monitor their health. Brgy. Officials also learned first-aid treatments and CPR Orientation which was facilitated by the Health Emergency Medical System (HEMS).

The City Government of Balanga, in partnership with Balanga City Lions Club also provided eye consultations and reading eyeglasses. Further, several young children availed of the ‘Operation Tuli’ service. COVID vaccines and boosters were also given to the residents.

Philippine Statistics Authority Bataan, Philippine Identification System, and Local Civil Registry Office were also present to provide birth registration assistance (PBRAP), National ID, mobile registration, and Philhealth profiling.

All services and consultations were for free through the joint efforts and leadership of Mayor Francis Anthony S. Garcia, Vice-Mayor Vianca Lita V. Gozon, the City Health Office, and the Sangguniang Panlungsod
