April 14, 2023 — As part of the month-long celebration of Pistang Balangueño 2023, the City Government of Balanga, through the City Tourism Office, in close coordination with the Balanga City Tourism Council chaired by Mayora Raquel Garcia, hosted the “Balanga City Idols 2023” elimination round at Barangay Malabia Covered Court.
A night of talents and entertainment, audiences discovered new talents, witnessing twenty (20) young and promising artists compete to become the first-ever Balanga City Idol.
On behalf of City Mayor Francis Anthony Garcia, Committee Chairperson on Tourism Councilor Jowee N. Zabala thanked the City Tourism Office who poured their efforts in this event, as well as the judges and Balangueños who went to watch this night of talent. She also emphasized that the “Balanga City Idols 2023” contest is a new event that showcases the remarkable qualities of the City of Balanga, proving that it is truly a #BalangaKahangahanga.
City Tourism Officer-in-Charge Mr. Norlie Castro attended the event. He expressed his gratitude to the officials from the local government that pushed this event to be possible. He also wished the participants to enjoy the program as they showcase their talents. Further, Mr. Castro invited everyone to witness the final showdown of Balanga City Idols’ top 10 finalists on April 21, as well as the upcoming street dance competition at Bataan People’s Center on April 26.
