Fourteen contenders vied for the crown at the Balanga City Idols 2024 competition, held at Plaza Mayor de Balanga on April 17, 2024 as part of the Pistang Balangueño 2024 celebration. The event featured students from different schools in Balanga, offering them a stage to showcase their singing talents.

Representing City Mayor Francis Anthony Garcia, Vice-Mayor Vianca Lita Gozon, and the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, Committee Chairperson on Tourism Hon. Jowee Nisay Zabala extended gratitude to all departments and organizations involved, especially the City Tourism Office led by Acting Department Head, Mr. Norlie Castro, and Balanga City Tourism Council (BCTC), chaired by Mayora Raquel Garcia, for making the event a success. Hon. Zabala expressed hope that attendees would encourage their families and friends to participate in this month’s upcoming activities.

Meanwhile, Ms. Sherrie Banzon Gonzalo, President of the BCTC, expressed her appreciation to Balanga City for organizing such events that the Balangueños will truly enjoy.

Winners of the Balanga City Idols 2023 gave a heartfelt performance in tribute to the life of Mr. Cris Martin Balquen, a beloved Vocal Coach from Bataan National High School (BNHS) whose legacy resonated deeply with the students.

In no particular order, five (5) winners of Balanga City Idols Season 2 received Php 7,000.00 each, while non-winners received a consolation prize of Php 2,000.00.
