August 01, 2022 – The City Government of Balanga, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Bataan, held the 2022 Galing Bataan Awards for “Most Outstanding MSMEs,” and 3rd InvestBalanga Awards: “Husay at Tatag ng Bataeno, Susi sa Maunlad na Pagnenegosyo” at Emiliana Hall, on July 29, 2022.

In the InvestBalanga awarding, the city’s Top 25 Real Property Tax Payers, Top 25 Businesses, seven (7) InvestBalanga Kagitingan Accord Awards, and seven (7) InvestBalanga Awards were handed out by Bataan Governor Jose Enrique S. Garcia, City Mayor Francis Anthony S. Garcia, and City Councilor Jowee N. Zabala to deserving Micro-, Small-, and Medium-Enterprises (MSME).

In his message, Mayor Garcia expressed his appreciation to the MSMEs and recognized their vital role in helping to create jobs for Balangueños and Bataeños, as well as in providing donations especially in times of pandemic and emergency situations. He also shared the city’s programs and projects to support businesses, with the City Economic Investment and Development Office as the pioneer department. Some of these include the recently approved City Ordinance No. 33 Series of 2022 wherein all businesses in Balanga will automatically be registered in the Balanga Business Directory, webinars to provide entrepreneurship know-how, and the city’s support for digital payment. Despite its aggressive push for economic development, the city also continues to maintain and strive for a cleaner and safer environment for its residents.

President & CEO of Rampver Financials Mr. Rex A. Mendoza was the Guest Speaker of the night who shared valuable information to MSMEs that will help them further enhance their business.

Most Outstanding MSME Small Category – Services, Retail & Trading and Agri-Based Category: Heart and Mind Computer Services and Copy Center

1st Runner up on Medium Category – Services, Retail & Trading and Agri-Based Category: Quezon’s Furniture Trading

1st Runner up on Micro Category – Services, Retail & Trading and Agri-Based Category: Earth 28 Café

2nd Runner up on Medium Category – Services, Retail & Trading and Agri-Based Category: Oneup Petroleum Trading

2nd Runner up on Small Category – Services, Retail & Trading and Agri-Based Category: MJT Hardware
